Bruno, Anthony

Anthony attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.

Anthony was a member of Carnegie Mellon's Track and Field team where he ran the 400m IH and was a leg of the team's 4x400m relay. He was also an active participant in CMU's annual Sweepstakes (more commonly referred to as 'Buggy') where he was chair of Kappa Delta Rho's program in 2008 and a captain from 2007 through 2009.

Anthony joined the Stanley-Laman Group, Ltd. in the spring of 2010 and is primarily involved in investment research and analysis; he is currently a Level III candidate in the CFA program.

 
Canna, Brett, CFP®, ChFC®

Brett Canna joined the Stanley-Laman Group in 2004 and works in the areas of Client Management and Investment Research.

Brett graduated from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 2002.

While at Penn, Brett was a member of the Wrestling Team which he continues to support. Additionally, he has been a member of the National Fraternity Alpha Tau Omega since 1998.

Prior to joining SLG Brett worked in New York and London for an international options trading firm.

He is a Certified Financial Planner® professional and a Chartered Financial Consultant®. He is working toward the Chartered Life Underwriter® designation.

 
Cieslak, Natalie

Natalie attended Philadelphia University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated in 2005 with dual Bachelors degrees in Finance and Marketing. She was a member of the International Honor Society in Business, Delta Mu Delta, and she graduated with Suma Cum Laude honors.

Natalie has worked at The Stanley-Laman Group, Ltd. for 6 years.

 
Eaton, David, ChFC®, CLU®

David is a co-founder of the firm and has more than 25 years of experience in estate planning and wealth management for ultra-wealthy business owners and families. He is responsible for individual client relations and the firm's marketing to those who are not yet clients.

He received a BS degree in Business and Economics from Lehigh University and holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter designations from the American College. In addition he is an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP), Philadelphia Estate Planning Council and the Society of Financial Service Professionals.

David is an active coach with the Conestoga Generals Pop Warner football program and the Devon-Strafford Little League. He lives in suburban Philadelphia with his wife and 4 children.

 
Gong, David, JD, MBA

David Gong joined The Stanley-Laman Group as a senior portfolio manager in May, 2011 and will focus on management of an international portfolio focusing on stocks of emerging companies many of which are not traded on U.S. Exchanges.

Mr. Gong has over 25 years of experience in global asset management including nine years spent in Hong Kong and Singapore. He received a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, a J.D. from the University of California, Davis where he earned Order of the Coif honors and an M.B.A. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.

In 1981 Mr. Gong joined T. Rowe Price Associates as an equity portfolio manager. He later served as an executive vice president of Rowe Price-Fleming International, the international investment joint venture formed by T. Rowe Price and Robert Fleming Holdings, a London-based merchant bank. Mr. Gong helped establish the firm's Hong Kong office, and from 1985-1989 managed Asian equity portfolios from the Hong Kong offices. In 1989 he initiated portfolio management responsibilities for Latin American equities. In 1991 Mr. Gong accepted a partnership position with Ardsley Partners, a Stamford, Connecticut based investment advisory firm. At Ardsley, he served as senior international portfolio manager, and managed hedge funds dedicated to investments in Asian, Latin American and Eastern European securities.

In 2003 Mr. Gong became a managing director of Ankar Capital Management, a New York based investment advisory firm, and managed the firm's private equity group in Singapore.

Prior to his investment career, Mr. Gong practiced law, initially as a staff attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., and later as an associate attorney with O'Melveny and Myers, a private law firm in their Los Angeles offices.

Mr. Gong has served as a director of Helios Capital LLC's Helios Strategic Fund since its inception in 2005. The Helios fund invests primarily in Indian listed securities. Mr. Gong is also a director of American Realty Capital –Retail Centers of America, Inc., a non-traded REIT. He has also previously served as a director of Alliance Capital Management, LLC's Turkish Growth Fund and India Liberalization Fund.

 
Hodge, James, JD, MBA

James Hodge joined The Stanley-Laman Group in 2012. Over the last 25 years, Mr. Hodge has worked with some of America's most successful private business owners and their families in the areas of estate and business succession planning.

Mr. Hodge graduated from Yale College, University of Virginia's Law School and Stanford's Graduate School of Business. Before attending Stanford's Business School, James practiced law at a major Wall Street firm.

Mr. Hodge is a well known speaker. He has addressed groups such as the San Francisco Estate Planning Council, the Entrepreneurial Management Center at the University of San Diego, and the Million Dollar Round Table – Top of the Table on the subject of business and wealth transition planning.

 
Koran, Michelle

Michelle attended The PJA Paralegal School in Upper Darby, PA. She studied Civil Law, Real Estate and Creditors & Debtors Rights. She graduated in 1988 with a paralegal certificate.

Michelle has had the opportunity to work in both Law and Advertising. She has been with The Stanley-Laman Group now since 2000 and very much enjoys being a part of the firm.

 
Laman, James, JD LLM

Mr. Laman graduated from the University of Illinois-Chicago with a degree in Accounting. He began his career with Sears Roebuck in Chicago, working as a Senior Auditor, while attending law school at night.

He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law in 1983 and went to work for Laventhol & Horwath in its Philadelphia office, as a Senior Tax Specialist. From Laventhol, Jim moved to Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Company in Radnor, PA. At Fidelity, he supported the field offices as an Estate and Business Analysis attorney, while attending Villanova University School of Law's LLM program, at night. Jim received his LLM degree from Villanova School of Law in 1988, earning recognition for obtaining the highest GPA in the history of the program (at the time).

Jim then went to work for Capital Analysts, Inc., in Radnor, PA, as a Staff Attorney, helping to fashion sophisticated estate plans for the Firm's clients.

In 1991, Jim left Capital Analysts, to help form the Stanley-Laman Group, Ltd., ("SLG"), and has remained as a founder and principal. SLG has become a Registered Investment Advisor, comprised of an ensemble of elite investment, tax, legal and financial advisory talent to serve their ultra-wealthy clientele.

Jim is also a founder and member of the Stanley Laman Group Securities, LLC, a registered Broker-Dealer, serving as both a Principal and FINOP.

Jim operates the Law Offices of James J. Laman, LLC, a law firm engaged in Estate Planning for select clientele.

 
Milne, William

William "Will" Milne joined the Stanley-Laman Group, Ltd. in the summer of 2008. Will's primary focus is client development and management, plan design and investment research reporting. He is an aspiring Certified Financial Planner® professional.

Prior to joining the Stanley-Laman Group, Ltd., Will attended the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business, graduating in May 2008 with Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics, with a concentration in Management. While attending Penn, Will played as an offensive lineman for the University of Pennsylvania football team (2004-2007), earning three varsity letters.

Will, originally from New York City, currently resides in Philadelphia and is an active member of the Penn Club in New York City.

 
Painter, Mark, CFA

Mark attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in finance.

Mark played four years on the Carnegie Mellon Soccer team in which he helped lead the team to its first four conference championships in school history. Honors include being named captain his senior year, three times all conference, and twice all region. He actively participates in soccer alumni activities and the annual giving program.

Mark is a CFA Charterholder, which he received in 2009. He actively participates in the CFA Philadelphia chapter along with the CFA Institute Continuing Education Program.

Mark spends time doing volunteer work with Philadelphia Cares and running a charity organization which provides scholarships to high school students in northern New Jersey.

 
Reimund, Kathryn

Kathryn attended Philadelphia University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications.

She has been an employee of The Stanley-Laman Group, Ltd., since 2008 where she continues to grow her knowledge of life insurance & investments.

In her spare time, Kathryn enjoys caring for and riding her horse; she has had a passion for horses since she began riding at the age of nine.

 
Schauerman, Michelle

Since 2009, Michelle has been an employee of The Stanley-Laman Group, Ltd. She graduated from Temple University located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with concentrations in both Finance and Real Estate.

Michelle gained experience in the insurance industry by working her way through college and spent time actively participating in Temple's Financial Management Association.

 
Stanley, Bradford, CFA

Brad attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.   He graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Psychology, with focus in Cognitive Psychology.  Brad was awarded the Carnegie Mellon Senior Leadership Award for his contributions to the university community.

Brad played football at Carnegie Mellon and was one of four captains his senior year.  He was voted the Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2003 and currently holds CMU's single season touchdown record with twenty-one.  In 2012, Brad was selected to the University Athletic Association's ("UAA") All-Association 25-Year Football Team.

Brad is a CFA charterholder, which he received in 2009. He passed all three CFA examinations on the first attempt and actively participates in the CFA Institute Continuing Education Program.  Brad is a member of the American Finance Association and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.

 
Stanley, Juliet, Esq

Juliet is a candidate for a Master of Law in Taxation (LLM) from Villanova University School of Law Class of 2013.

Juliet graduated cum laude in 2010 with a Juris Doctor degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law. She received the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards (earned the highest grade in a selected course) in Trademark Law. She was the Vice President of the Animal Law Group, a member of Phi Alpha Delta and the Criminal Law Association.

Juliet attended Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. She graduated from the Whitman School of Management in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. She was on the Dean's List in Fall 2002 and Spring 2004.

Juliet played basketball at Syracuse University; she was a 2000-2001 BIG EAST Academic All-Star. During the 2000-2001 season she received the Lucille H. Verhulst Sportswoman of the Year Award which is presented to the most valuable person on and off the court.

Juliet created a 501(c)(3) public charity called Angels For Pets (www.AngelsForPets.net) in 2010. The organization is dedicated to helping domestic animals and their owners pay for important expenses such as medical bills, food, etc.

Juliet is an associate attorney with the Law Offices of James J. Laman, LLC and provides contract work for SLG's financial advisory clients.

 
Stanley, William, MSFS

Mr. Stanley worked for General Electric Credit Corporation from 1976 – 1979 as a Regional Field Auditor.

In 1979 he accepted a position with the Cherry Hill, NJ office of Capital Analysts, Inc. a National Wealth Management Firm with offices throughout the United States specializing in estate, business succession and investment management for high net worth individuals.

Over the next eleven years he was consistently one of the leading associates in the Capital Analyst system nationwide. He served on Capital Analysts, Inc.'s Executive Committee and Advisory Board while working for the wealthiest private business owners in the United States.

In 1991 he left Capital Analysts to form The Stanley-Laman Group, Ltd., an Independent Registered Investment Advisor which is comprised of an ensemble of elite investment, tax, legal and financial advisory talent to serve their ultra wealthy clientele.

Mr. Stanley earned the Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA; he also holds a Master's Degree in Financial Sciences from the American College.

In addition to SLG, the shareholders own Stanley-Laman Securities, a Broker-Dealer Registered with FINRA.

- Board of Directors for CeeLite, Inc., a Pennsylvania-based company that designs and sells lighting panels based on its proprietary Luminescent Electronic Capacitor technology

 
Thompson, Claire

Claire joined The Stanley-Laman Group, Ltd. in 2011. She graduated from Philadelphia University located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Finance.

She looks forward to gaining more experience and knowledge in the insurance and investment industries.

In her spare time, Claire enjoys being around her large family and wonderful friends.
